Buy My Book!

Hello my dear ones,

Both dear ones I know and dear ones I have yet to know... I made a book! And you can buy it. It's a collection of short stories, essays and two plays from the past 8 or so years of my life. The truth is I am between sustaining contracts and am relatively under-employed. I have a wonderful support network in my life but they can't feed me or pay my rent. Things will turn around financially in September but for the time being I am putting this out there into the world in hopes that you might wanna read some stuff I wrote in exchange for your money! It's just like buying a published book but all the cash goes to me and not to a major publishing house! That's cool too!

So, for a minimum $10 (though feel free to send more if you want to), I will send you this little book. 7 stories, 3 essays and 2 plays. Email me the cash to michellenkennedy@gmail.com and I will send you the special password protected PDF.

Thanks so much for all your support!

Much love,

Michelle

So far I have been to the 124th Street Market, the 104th Street market and the Stony Plain Farmers Market and neighbourhood craft sale. I think we're coming along well.

When I met a new adorable kissing partner on Tinder he said to me, "Wild sex and farmer's markets"... that seems to be happening. And I am up for market dates so let's have one.

Here is a pic I stole of the 104th Street Market from my sis, Rachel.

NO BUMMER SUMMER

I tried to write about death. I want to write about the trauma of loss and the ache in my body. I want to write about betrayal. The kind of betrayal that exists within and without of my body. But not yet. The wounds are barely closed and some remain fresh. In time...

For now I have promised myself a summer. And maybe even a summer of love. That seems both reasonable and deeply unreasonable a thing to hope for. There is evidence to suggest that there is a reason to hope.

AND... the ever adorable (and sometime not) HELLO GIGGLES  made a suggestion for 101 one thing to do to have a rad summer. My hope: to do 'em all.
